Piia Tähtinen

Piia is production director and partner at Pektra. She is a real professional for steel and she runs Pektra’s daily actions and purchasing at the Koria factory. She is qualified wleding coordinator for even the most demanding steel structures. Equality of gender’s is not fully realized in Finnish construction business so Piia’s experience needs to be admired.

Piia holds projects and men at factory in order with her cool and emphatic way. Steel obeys her also at gym which is her free time passion.

Marcu Ovidiu

Ovidiu Marcu is one of our key welders at the factory. Ovi’s (nick name from colleagues) roots are in Brasov, Romania. In the middle of beautiful Transylvania.

He lived in Brasov until the end of his studies and first jobs. He started from assembly work, but step by step he got more experience in steel works. When Romania joined to EU in 2006, he made a brave decision to travel to Finland to start a new job. The reality was not as expected in the beginning and jobs were only short term contracts. Anyhow he ended up to Pektra Oy in the end of 2006.



Ovi noticed that pace of work is hard, but this way suited well to him. During the years he have learned Finnish in evening school, brought his wife to Finland, boy have born to the family and they have bought a house near by the Koria factory. Ovi is definitely a top quality person at a factory. He has a strict professional attitude and he is highly respected by his colleagues. 

Jussi Puhakka

Jussi Puhakka is managing Pektra’s sites and probably the most visible person for our customers. He is Pektra’s travelling man when sites are practically all over Finland.



Jussi’s roots are in Koria and he has his birth home few kilometres away from Koria factory. He graduated as BSc from Polytechic of Kotka year 2000 and he started his steel career at the same year in company called Normek. During the years he have been involved with several significant projects in Finland. Also Russian export projects are familiar to him. 

Jussi is able to handle several sites and assembly teams at the same time and his experience can be seen when projects may have some challenges. He is not hasting and can seem to solve all challenges with a cool manner.
